The Drakopoulos Collection

A journey through Ancient Cyprus, one piece at a time

The collection

Two thousand years, gathered by hand

More than a hundred pieces of ancient Cypriot art, from the burnished red clay of the Early Bronze Age to the painted plates and limestone faces of the Archaic city-kingdoms. Each was made on a single small island in the eastern Mediterranean, and each carries some part of its story still.

You can follow the collection from beginning to end, era by era, or step straight into any period below. A handful of pieces are singled out along the way for a closer look.
