Red Polished Bowl
Pottery bowl in Red Polished or possibly Red Polished Mottled ware; handmade; hemispherical body on a rounded base, inverted rim; horizontal loop handle placed just below the rim and set diagonally, small projection on rim under the handle. Made of reddish clay with a burnished surface fired red (though possibly slipped); incised zig-zag pattern round the rim and handle; body cracked and broken with the handle restored, with some mottling on the surface, possibly deliberate.
