Red Polished Mottled Bowl
Pottery bowl or dipper in Red Polished III or possibly RP II-III Mottled ware; hand-made; shallow hemispherical body, rounded base, with a single arching handle with pointed end similar to later wishbone handles; small knob projecting from the rim beneath the handle. Made of buff clay with a burnished surface fired red to black with patches of what look like deliberate mottling; surface worn and rim chipped in places.
