Red Polished Tulip Bowl
Pottery 'tulip' bowl in Red Polished black-top ware; hand-made; deep body with a pointed base, pierced horizontally; pair of opposing horn-like lugs on rim, one pierced, below these are knob-shaped lugs, one perforated to form a spout on the opposite side to the pierced lug; made of fairly fine clay mixed with grit and straw, covered with a lustrous slip fired red on the exterior and black on the top and interior; decorated with chevrons composed of incised parallel lines filled with white lime.
