Early Bronze Age I
Amphora
Amphora: A small amphora with a long lobular body, a short and a thick neck. The amphora has a flat circular mouth and two small vertical handles from the shoulder to the middle of the neck, well below the mouth. Each handle has a vertical cut along its length. The amphora is in Red Polished I decoration with a red polished slip all over its body. The slip has fallen off in many areas and the surface of the amphora is very worn. From the tomb 134 of cemetery A in Vounous, recorded by the excavators as a single burial, the tomb had not been reused after the initial interment.
