Pinch Handle Pottery Cup
Wheel-thrown pottery cup with a slightly projecting pinch handle, which is pierced horizontally. Piece is widest at the rim and tapers towards the base which has a rim at the bottom. Incised throwing lines visible on surface. No slip, glaze or surface decoration; light volcanic ash gray colour. Two small chips in rim, 1.5 centimeters long. Soil residue on portions of surface. Dimensions: Diameter: 11.90 centimetres; Height: 4.30 centimetres; Width: 12.50 centimetres overall Object Type: cup
