Black-on-Red Ware Bowl
Pottery bowl in Black-on-Red ware; wheel-made; deep carinated body on a raised ring base; wide rim, chamfered inwards; pair of opposing triple-rib handles; orange clay (with a greyish core) and thin matt red slip, decorated in black paint: bands of fine concentric circles around the exterior of the body, some traces of paint on the inside whose surface is very worn and pitted with much of the original surface missing; geometric decoration below each handle; surface calcinated and worn in many places; small chip from the rim.
