White Painted Stem Cup
Pottery stemmed cup in White Painted ware; wheel-made; the cup has a carinated bottom and straight, slightly concave sides; single loop handle from the body to the rim; short stem with a splaying, ribbed foot, hollow underneath; buff clay and slip, decorated in matt black-brown paint: bands on the body and rim, inside and out, solid handle, from which hangs a large hook motif; surface is cracked in places and heavily encrusted with a crystalline deposit.
