Red Polished Ware Jug
Red Polished ware pottery jug; hand-made; depressed globular body on a rounded base with a slight point; narrow tubular neck with a flaring everted rim; vertical handle curving from shoulder to rim (now lost except for the upper and lower stumps); made of buff clay covered with a red polished slip, decorated with incised motifs: zig-zags, bands of parallel lines, oblique hatched bands; traces of the white lime fill of the incisions; surface worn in places.
