Red Polished Storage Jar
Pottery Red Polished I storage jar or amphora; hand-made; ovoid body on a raised flat base; tall concave neck and everted rim (mouth missing but partly restored); two opposing handles with rounded sections from shoulder to middle part of neck; made of fairly fine buff clay, some inclusions and added straw grog, covered with a burnished red slip, now very worn. Dimensions: Height: 28 centimetres; Width: 19.20 centimetres max.
