Jug
Jug: A jug with a trefoil mouth, a ring base and a handle of which only the base survives. The jug has prominent wheel ridging inside especially at the lower body.Bichrome III type decoration in matt plum red and dark brown paint: thin brown circular lines around the neck and upper exterior body with a thicker red circular band is in between them. The handle is outlined and laddered designand the base both inside and outside also has fine bands in dark brown paint. The clay is fairly thick walled of a pinkish buff with some grit, evenly fired medium hard and has a plain finish. The jug has been restored by several sherds and one remains unjoined. There are still several parts of the body of the jug missing. The decoration has significantly faded. (Overall: 177 mm x 125 mm) - Made of Pottery Culture: Cypro-Geometric III
