Bichrome Terracotta Baboon
Cypriot terracotta figure of a baboon or bear. Squatting and holding food to its mouth with its left hand and holding its stomach or groin with its right hand. Missing both legs. Bichrome striped decoration in red and black, with red ears, mouth and groin. Dark pink fabric with cream coloured surface and fine white and black inclusions. Dimensions: Height: 9 centimetres; Thickness: 4.40 centimetres; Width: 5.20 centimetres Object Type: figure Techniques: handmade; painted Condition: fair (broken at legs)
