Bearded Warrior Statue
Head of a limestone statue of a bearded male warrior wearing a cap or helmet with side flaps secured at the top; probably a votary. Back of the head is missing. Triangular face with a pointed chin; oval, slightly bulging eyes, slanting inwards, framed by ridged eyelides; prominent eyebrow ridges forming a continuous arc with the large nose; the eyebrows are hatched. Smiling lips (traces of red paint). The junction of the beard and the face are marked by a groove; the beard is long and curing at the tip, divided by grooves. The helmet covers the hair completely at the front. Dimensions: Height: 17 centimetres max Object Type: statue
