Bichrome Ware Amphora
Pottery jar (amphora) in Bichrome Ware; wheel-made; piriform/ovoid-biconical body on a low pedestal foot; short, slightly convex neck with a squared, everted rim; pair of opposing vertical double-ribbed handles. Made of orange-buff clay, fired to a light cream colour, with purple and black-brown decoration: wavy line around the neck; on the shoulder, chevrons and semi-concentrics, concentric with solar (?) rays, and vertical files of zig-zags framed by parallel lines; horizontal bands of various widths around the body and foot, and inside neck; solid paint on handles.
