Bichrome Ware Oinochoe
Pottery oinochoe or jug in Bichrome ware; wheel-made; globular body with straight neck and plain trefoil lip; low ring base; double-ribbed handle from shoulder to rim; orange-buff clay with many reddish inclusions; buff slip or self-slip with black and red painted decoration; two groups of vertical concentric bands (red on the outside, black within) framing a bull's eye motif on each side of the spout and handle; below spout is a stylised lotus flower flanked by pairs of concentrics in black paint above a circular, shield-like disc of black and red bands with pair of concentric below; black bands around junction of shoulder and neck and shoulder and handle and below the spout; on the handle a ladder-like motif in black; part of the lower body has been partly restored from sherds.
