Pottery White Slip II (Early) tankard; hand-made; neck tapering to everted rim with flat top edge; globular body; ring base; vertical strap handle with horned thumb projection from rim to shoulder; slightly lustrous white slip with brown painted decoration; neck with three sets of vertical framed double hatched lozenges with hatched lozenge rows between; vertical row of hatched diamonds under handle; line at neck to body join; body with horizontal lattice with pendant alternating lattice and framed hatched lozenges; net pattern on base; vertical wavy lines down handle exterior; rim and neck interior with dotted bands, framed double lines and wavy lines.
