Base Ring Astarte Figurine
Terracotta figurine of a naked female of the 'Astarte' type in Base Ring ware; hand-made; wide angular hips with narrow legs and schematic feet which project slightly; her hands are held on the breasts (right arm missing, but hand is preserved); beak-like nose; large protruding ears (one broken) with double piercings; prominent pellet eyes; the pubic region is indicated as an incised triangle with diagonal strokes inside; incised decoration also on the neck and above the waist; made of buff-orange clay.
