Pottery Base Ring I ware miniature tankard; hand-made; cylindrical neck with flaring rim; vertical strap handle from rim to shoulder, originally with thumb grip on rim, now missing; biconical body with low ring base; decorated with double horizontal relief bands on neck and wavy line on shoulder; thin reddish brown slip burnished to a medium lustre; pale brown fabric.
