Pottery Base Ring I ware juglet; hand-made; long tapering neck with trumpet mouth; vertical strap handle from mid neck to shoulder; relief ridge at handle to neck join, flanged with pronounced terminal in relief at body join; globular body with low ring base; decorated with vertical band of three relief ridges down body opposite handle and two on either side perpendicular to handle; thin dark brown slip burnished to a low lustre; fabric red with a grey core; surface worn.
