White Painted String-hole Flask
Pottery flask in White Painted String-hole Style; handmade; slim oval body with a flattened base and a narrow tubular spouted neck with lateral mouth; the handle runs from the mouth to the shoulder; string-hole projections on either side of the neck with four further projections along each side; buff clay with a buff slip decorated with red-brown paint; the decoration consists of framed latticed diamonds, framed zigzags and checquered panels.
