Limestone head of a lion from a votive stele (?)

The head of a lion is turned to the left, with a furrowed muzzle, the mouth open with a partially broken tongue, and teeth clearly indicated. The mane forms a unarticulated ruff around the head. Overall: 6 x 9 x 7 1/4 in. (15.2 x 22.9 x 18.4 cm)
