Young man with leaf wreath
Young man with leaf wreath The wreathed head of a young man shows the characteristic characteristics of the Cyprical-Archic style of the 1st half of the 5th century BC.The oval face has a low forehead, a pointed nose and an outstanding chin; The eyes are formed almond -shaped, the smiling mouth, the angles of which are pulled up strongly.Five rows of small, schematic curls frame the face, a band with stylized, standing laurel leaves; The short hair on the top is roughly indicated by scratch lines.Remains of the original painting are preserved on the lips.Bernhard-Walcher u.Collection catalogs of the KHM Vol. 2, Vienna: 1999 H. 10,5 cm
