Temple boy statuette

Temple boy statuette: Body of a small male votive statue of the type known as the temple boys. The head, arms and part of the right leg are missing. The statuette is seated on a slanted plinth only part of which survives and has the left leg crossed to the front. The part of the right leg surviving is bent and raised at a right angle to the side of the body. The statuette is wearing a heavily pleated chiton that covers most of the legs. On the chest of the boy there is the chain of protective amulets. At the front and In between the legs of the boy there is part of an animal possibly a bird that temple boys typically hold or stroke.
