Terracotta Goddess Figurine
Kalathos and upper part of head of a large terracotta figurine of a woman, probably a goddess; mould-made. hollow; approximately half the right side of the hair (with traces of the eye) is preserved, on top of which is a sphendone (a flat diadem orignally rising to a peak in the centre); the kalathos is decorated with pastilles of clay, rosettes, and sirens/sphinxes. Made of fairly course clay fired cream throughout; no traces of colour. Object Type: figure
