Limestone Female Worshipper Statuette
Upper part of a large limestone statuette of a female worshipper wearing a kalathos or crown and holding a flower in her right hand; large almond-shaped eyes carved deeply, pug nose (damaged) and slightly raised lips; she wears a long-sleeved gown which drops in folds towards the waist, on her head is an elaborate floral crown decorated with rosettes and lotus-buds; elaborate jewellery around the neck (a series of large elongated oval beads), disc-and-pendant earrings and a bracelet around her right wrist; the long hair is centre-parted and pulled back over the top of the head beneath the kalathos and hangs down at the back; faint traces of red paint all over the figure.
