Limestone Male Votary Statue
Limestone male votary on a low base; he stands frontally with his arms by his side, hands clenched; he wears a long short-sleeved garment, extending to his naked feet; on the head is a pointed cap (tip broken) with flaps, below which his hair falls to the base of the neck; pointed chin and nose, the latter continuing into the arches over his flat, leaf-shaped eyes; slight smile on the thin lips; large flat, slightly concave ears; the digits of the hands and feet are shown, albeit schematically; flat unworked back; slight traces of red on the lower end of his garment and on his cap; the figure is supported by a modern plaster pillar with a wooden back; the head has been reattached to the neck, with some restoration at the join.
