Limestone Votary Statuette

Feet and plinth of a limestone statuette, probably of a votary; traces of an illegible (Cypro-Syllabic?) inscription on the base. The preserved port of the figurine suggest that the individual wore an ankle-length garment; the feet appear to be shod, as there are no indications of toes, with parallels in the boot-like footwear shown on intact statuettes of the later Cypro-Archaic and Cypro-Classical periods. Dimensions: Height: 5 centimetres max ; Width: 8.40 centimetres Object Type: statuette Techniques: carved; incised Inscription: Inscription type: inscription Inscription script: Cypriot Syllabic Inscription note: Cypro-Syllabic?
