Elaborate Priestess Figurine
Lower part of a terracotta female figurine of an elaborately dressed priestess or votary; solid, mould-made (back plain); she is standing frontally with her left arm by the side; three bracelets are visible on the wrist; the right arm and hand is not shown; she wears an ankle-length robe with short sleeves, from which extend her naked (or perhaps) sandaled feet; over this is a shorter waist-length tunic or overfold; the ends of a fringed maniple are visible below this, presumably between the two garments; made of fairly coarse buff pink clay; traces of red paint on the feet.
