White Painted Bichrome Jug
Pottery jug in White Painted/Bichrome ware; wheel-made; ovoid body on a slightly raised disc base; narrow, tubular conical neck; trefoil mouth with a plain rim; single strap handle (oval section) from shoulder to rim purple bands round body. Made of pink-buff clay with numerous small black inclusions, fired a cream-white colour; decorated with brown and purple paint: bands around the body and neck and on rim. Surface pitted and worn in places.
