Elaborately Dressed Lyre Player Figurine
Terracotta figurine of an elaborately dressed female playing a lyre, probably a worshipper or a priestess; hollow, mould-made in a two-piece mould; back rounded but plain, with a large assembly hole at the back; the woman stands frontally, with her bare feet mergining with the low plinth on which the figurine stands; she wears a complex multi-layered costume (short-sleeved tunic or chiton, cloak or himation, as well as other garments, and a long stole with tassled ends extending to the feet); on her head is a turban-like wreath; around the ; she wears a armlets on the right upper arm and a multi-tiered necklace, while a cluster of seals on rings hangs below her arms.
