Bearded Man Relief Plaque
Terracotta relief plaque of a bearded man carrying a ram over his shoulders, probably a votary; hollow, mould-made front with a plain back: the edges of the clay at the front have been folded over the join with the back piece; he stands on a low plinth, wearing a long plain tunic or kilt which falls below the knees; the feet merge with the support; the lower garment is gathered at the waist with what seems to be a tassel; the flaps of an upper garment fall on either side of his tunic; on his head is a conical helmet with cheek-pieces; he has a long face and extended beard with curving end; he holds the front and back legs of the long-horned ram with his left and right hands; made of buff clay with small inclusions; traces of black and purple paint on clothing.
