Terracotta Male Figure Head
Head of a male terracotta figure wearing a cap. Head or bust, broken from a larger figure. Possibly a representation of the devotee. The facial features are only crudely completed, in archaic style. The eyes are almond shaped. Mould-made with substantial additions by hand. Coated with white paint, with possible traces of paint, or staining. Dark red-brown fabric with pale yellow-buff surfaces. Overfired marl clay with abundant black and white inclusions.
