Neo-Cypriot Terracotta Head

Terracotta head from a large figure, probably male. Possibly a worshipper wearing helmet or headdress, in Neo-Cypriot style. Hollow and mould-made with hand-made plastic elements added. Eye-sockets defined by ridges and almond-shaped eye. Crude and flat back. No trace of paint left on the figure. Red-brown to salmon-orange marl clay with lighter surface; fine white, red and dark grey inclusions.
