Black-on-Red Trefoil Jug
Large pottery jug in Black-on-Red ware; globular body with a vertical neck and trefoil mouth; ring base; arching handle from shoulder to rim; buff-pink clay with a polished orange-red slip, decorated in black paint: vertical and horizontal concentric bands of parallel lines intersecting on each side of the neck, bulls eye motif on each side, groups of concentric circles in the spaces between, ladder pattern on the handle.
