Black-on-Red Amphora
Pottery amphora or jar in Black-on-Red ware; wheel-made; globular body on a flat base; short cylindrical neck with a flat everted rim; pair of opposing handles from shoulder to mouth; made of fine buff clay covered with an orange slip, decorated with black paint: small groups of concentric circles on the shoulder, bands of thick lines around the body, solid paint on the handles and rim; repaired from sherds with some parts of the body missing; one of the handles is chipped; paint worn in places.
