White Painted Oinochoe
Pottery oinochoe or jug with figural decoration in White Painted ware; squat globular body on a narrow flat base; wide neck, slightly concave with a trefoil mouth; arching handle from shoulder to rim; buff clay and slip, decorated with brown paint in Free Field style: two birds in flight, drawn in outline with hatched body and solid wings, confronting two stylised trees; a line of chevrons or short strokes issues from their mouths; single band on the neck, a pair of eyes on the mouth; zig-zag pattern on the handle; surface is worn in numerous places.
