Terracotta Horse Rider Figurine
Terracotta figure of horse and rider; handmade; horse has short, stumpy legs and an elongated, slightly arched body with a tall neck, extended snout and large mane, a short sausage-like tail hangs behind; the (now headless) rider is similarly schematic, emerging form the body of the animal and gripping the mane; buff-orange clay with black painted decoration: ladder patterns on the front and back legs and mane, possibly representing harnessing or some sort of covering.
