Black-on-Red Juglet
Pottery Black-on Red/Birchome Red ware juglet; wheel-made; baggy ovoid body on a slightly concave disc base; narrow neck with trefoil mouth; single handle from shoulder to mouth. Made of fine buff clay covered with a reddish-orange slip and decorated with black paint: horizontal bands around the body and neck (the latter has a line of dots in added white); band around the rim and along the handle; three sets of concentric circles around the.
