Bronze Sledge-Hammer
Bronze sledge-hammer; cylindrical in shape, widening to centre for socket; socket circular, tapering slightly to one end for hafting; cast in a two-piece mould; body inscribed with sign towards one end, v-shaped with an intersecting line at the narrow end and a smaller v within and perpendicular to the larger one; circular dent to one side of socket hole; ends oxidised, split and damaged from use-wear.
