Bronze Tripod Ring Stand
Bronze tripod stand; cast; composite ring consisting of two horizontal rods framing an open-work wavy line of bent wire; the ring is soldered onto three legs, which are curved and widening towards the ring, decorated with central vertical ridge and linear patterns in low relief either side - dot and circle towards the top, herringbone towards the bottom; six pendant rings hang in three pairs between the legs; legs joined in the centre by three inner struts; the legs terminate in small rolled, feline pad feet small dowels on underside, possibly for originally mounting on a wooden plinth; partially restored at ring.
