Base Ring II Juglet
Pottery juglet or spindle bottle in Base Ring II ware; hand-made; conical-piriform body on a low conical ring base; tall narrow cylindrical neck with an everted rim; strap handle from shoulder to middle of neck, neck ridge at junction; made of fine buff clay with a burnished surface, fired to a metallic lustre; decorated with white paint on the upper half of the body: vertical stripes meeting at a ring around the body; surface worn and pitted in places.
