Base Ring Ware Bull Rhyton
Pottery Base Ring II ware bull rhyton; hand-made; lower face forms tubular spout with hole through mouth; applied pellets for eyes (one missing); circular hole with rim for mouth of vessel on shoulder of bull, with strap handle from rim to mid back; dewlap and tail moulded in relief; legs shaped by shaving excess clay; traces of painted white stripes down body; thin, mottled brown slip, very worn but originally lightly burnished; fabric medium brown with grey core; both horns, ears and half of one leg missing.
