Base Ring Bull Rhyton
Pottery Base Ring II ware bull rhyton; hand-made; lower face forms slightly flaring tubular spout with hole through mouth; applied pellets for eyes; ears applied pinched discs of clay below conical horns; circular hole for mouth of vessel on shoulder of bull, with strap handle from rim to mid body; dewlap and tail moulded in relief; legs shaped by shaving excess clay; decorated with painted white stripes down body and head; thin, matt dark purple-brown slip; fabric medium brown with grey core; mended from sherds, one area of body missing.
