Base Ring Ware Spindle Bottle
Pottery Base Ring I ware spindle bottle; hand-made; long body tapering to low ring base; long cylindrical neck and horizontal rim; strap handle from mid-neck to shoulder; incised interlacing parallel lines on shoulder and neck; pot mark at the base of the handle in the form of a cross. Made from orange clay with a slip fired unevenly around the body (orange-red to black); surface pitted and base chipped.
