Black Slip Tankard
Pottery tankard in Black Slip II ware; handmade; squat body; squat biconical body with a rounded base and a short widening neckwith a carinated horizontal rim; high loop oval handle rising from rim to the shoulder; loop stringhole at the base of the neck; pale clay covered with a greyish black slip on the outside and half-way down the inside; decorsted with relief ornaments of horizontal parallel lines and wavy lines.
