Archaic II
Limestone female head
The treatment of the face of this exceptionally attractive work owes much to the sculpture of eastern Greece. Purely Cypriot, however, are her accoutrements: ear caps, loop earrings, the choker around her neck, and the longer necklaces falling on her chest. Overall: 11 x 10 1/4 x 8 in. (27.9 x 26 x 20.3 cm)
